Daan's original roots lie in traditional art and he attended the famous Art Academy Minerva in the Netherlands studying digital arts,
the art of illustration and autonomic arts (drawing + painting) -
During art school he was closely involved with the uprising of the
dutch underground techno scene.
He became legendary as one of
Netherlands most controversial and original progenitors of the
underground techno movement as a creator and producer of stylish and
innovative creative concepts. He went on to further study (masters art
school) in computer animation, DTP, video editing, interactive media as
well as 3D graphics creation and production.
He has a firm grasp of all
visual media from traditional to new, from painting to graphic design
to new-media. He headed the formation and implementation of the 3D
department of Tmade - one of the Netherlands leading marketing and
design firms and was a project leader for Endemol Netherlands. His
designs have been used by Coca Cola, Nissan, TDK, Campina as well as other
international brands.
Daan's artistic and creative force partially derives from his family history - which include a dadaist father and an artist grandfather, J.Radeker, who created the white obelisc decorated with allegorical figures in remembrance for the Dutch victims of World War II - which is located at the Dam Square in Amsterdam. He is also the cousin of contemporary Dutch Artist Michael Raedecker.
